Wow ! I found a secret garden in Jomtien. It is located on Soi Chaiyapruk. This place was busy on Friday evening because they had a special buffet for 135 Baht. The slow season, the war and Sars has not slowed this haven down one bit. It is an oasis in the world. People are attracted to this garden because it is first class and informal. There are romantic little tables in the corners where you can see and be seen by the VIP’s that dine in the garden. Friends and family gather there for a bite to eat at the “Baan Chaiyapruk” organic restaurant in the garden under the tallest tree in Thailand, maybe not. It is a big, big tree.
Some people stopped at the small bar for cocktails in the garden. It is an ideal place to relax and have a drink before dinner or lunch. The “Baan Chaiyapruk” opens at 11am. I found out that the bar tender is a prizewinner. Connoisseurs follow him because of his skill in making the perfect drink. He has style and class. Ask him to make for you your favorite drink.

She and others have a Thai cooking show on TV and some people will travel for as far away as Bangkok to dine at “Baan Chaiyapruk”. It must be good. Kenya has been traveling around Thailand searching for recipes. She has collected the time tested family recipes from all over Thailand. I’ll bet that if you ask her in advance she can cook for you and your guests. The “Baan Chaiyapruk” serves organic food.
I know Kenya has another private secluded garden on her country home. It is located about and hour or two from Pattaya. When the moon is full and stars come out, she will prepare an extra special event for private guests up to 20 people. The meal is of her choice. This is not for everybody. This is for the ultimate gastronome by appointment only.
The “Baan Chaiyapruk” has four classic cars for those people who lake to travel in style. They will pick you up. You choose the tour. A Thai chaffer will drive the car. The driver speaks German, English, Russian, French and Thai. You can be driven in a 1957 red Fiat four door luxury sedan, a 1964 Mercedes Benz (formally owned by the German Embassy), a Citroen DS (used by French gangsters because of its size and speed) or a 1966 Land Rover that will seat 7 people.
