Wow! You should have seen it. It as so exciting seeing approximately 8,00o to 20,000 people who were either directly or indirectly involved in the annual Pattaya International marathon. There was food, drinks and shops along the beach and it was busy. The shops were there Saturday and the marathon started at 5am Sunday morning at Soi 4-5 next to the new submarine cruise office on beach road. The marathon attracted a lot of people from around the world. There were runners from Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Sidney, Paris, Rome, Frankfurt, London, New York, Los Angles plus more. The prize money, trophies, medals, certificates, 2002 T-shirts and souvenirs attracted runners from every corner of the planet.

Men and women had equal prize money, of course.
There was a women runner who finished second from Korea, we guess, who left for the hospital immediately after the race and did not report to the reporting committee with her id. Card to claim the prize money. We sincerely hope she recovers here health and we feel sorry she lost the prize money.
Also, khun Siratiran Bonma finished second in the men’s category to win 100,000 Baht. The fact that is truly significant is that he is 60 years old. He is a real superman and a great example for us.
