Well, guess what sports fans? There is an outdoor unorganized international neighborhood exercise group. They meet for fun and exercise every morning, rain or shine, at 07:00 and 17:00 or 7am and 5pm, for those from the west. The 07:00 (7am) outdoor exercise group meet at the park that is located on the left as you go up to Buddha Hill. The 17:00 (5pm) outdoor exercise group meets in the parking lot on the right as you go up Buddha Hill. It’s great to be outdoors and breathe the fresh air up on the hill. The parking lot is across the street from the park. They do bamboo stick exercises and tai chi exercises as well as some very gentle aerobic exercises. They keep the pace slow and easy for people like me. I am almost in my sixties. There are people of all ages. Most of the people are local Thai, but don’t misunderstand. There are falongs too. There are one or two children or grandchildren and there is one gentleman who claims to be seventy-eight years old. Maybe, we should learn from him. We all know a little exercise is good for our body and mind. There are approximately two hundred people. These outdoor exercise people have been meeting for approximately two years. They come and go with their own personal schedules. They’re a few single seniors who come out to meet and socialize and have fun. So, remember your friends are at the park and you should be good to your self and treat your self to fun and exercise in the outdoor park. Bring a friend or family member. This is group welcomes all people, young and old and all nationalities. Come to the park and we will sing and dance and enjoy each others company as we slowly and gently exercise ourselves to better health and a happier life. Once a month the group has a party. They have also been known to do charity work too. It’s better then sitting and home and taking medicine. Live long and prosper. Health, wealth and happiness. Ha, ha ,ha.
