“Baan Chaiyapruk” is probably the best Thai restaurant in the world. What is it that makes this restaurant so great? The answer to that question is not only obvious but it is simple too. It’s the internationally know chef. Her name is “Kanya.” She has worked for Hilton Hotels, Sheraton Hotels and others. She was educated and trained in the “Royal Kitchens.” She even has a television program.
She was offered so much money by the great hotels and restaurants around the world and she spent many years working in the restaurants in the USA, Europe, South America and Asia.
After making her fortune, she decided it was time to come home to Pattaya. She opened a restaurant in Jomtien and was in the same spot on the beach for years until things changed and she had to move. “Baan Chaiyapruk” is still in Jomtien, but it is now located on Chaiyapruk Road. Chaiyapruk Road is the Soi that is close to the police station, halfway down the beach. When she first opened the restaurant she thought she only needed one building. Business is so good that she and her husband bought the house next door and expanded the garden restaurant in the back of the house.
You have to see this. The garden restaurant is under the tallest tree in Thailand. It is so romantic with all of its little nooks and crannies. There is music in the air and little lights that light up the night. You must bring your friend and enjoy the food and atmosphere. There is a small cocktail bar for you to sit and observe the restaurant and then choose your table. You must get there before 7:30 pm because there is the most intimate, beautiful and graceful Thai dancers to delight and entertain you. Every Friday evening enjoy a delicious Bar B Que featuring Beef, Pork and Chicken with all the fixings.
There is so much more to “Baan Chaiyapruk” then you might think. For example, there is a collection of antique cars. You can rent the cars and a driver and take a tour. Travel in style and grace. Also, there is a massage studio and a beauty saloon of the first quality and highest standards.
