When a doctor gets really sick they go to Dr. Olivier. He is a doctor’s doctor. He has a diploma from the University of Geneva as an anesthesiologist and intensive care.
What is an anesthesiologist? They are gifted and talented people. Sometimes I think that they are not from this world. At a very early age they just know. They seen to have been born on this planet with a brain that is already pre-programmed or full of information that the rest of us mere mortals, struggle to learn and remember. They usually speak several languages, read and write and are mathematically gifted. Dr. Olivier is one of them. He is gifted and talented. As an anesthesiologist, he can take a body to the brink of death. He can suspend a bodies life at the brink of death to allow other doctors to perform Major surgery. It is a miracle that doctors can work on your insides of the human body without it dying. It uses to be that the body always died when attempts were made to amputate or cut open a body to relieve pain. The body would be from shock or bleed to death. All kinds of other problems happen when the body is cut open. The lungs stop breathing. The heart stops pumping. The nervous system shuts down and there are no electrical impulses. The brain stops. This is not good. Ha ha ha
Dr. Olivier started his medical studies in 1987 through 1991 at the University of Geneva in Switzerland. After graduation he volunteered to work for the international red cross and was sent to the Thailand boarded with Cambodia to perform surgery on the many refugees that lost their limbs in the mine fields while they tried to escape the killing fields. He was there from 1992 through 1992. He went back to Switzerland from 1992 through 1995 and worked at the hospital from 06.30am until 8.00pm and was on call for emergency surgery 2417. He rarely saw the sun. Switzerland is very cold at night. He said the stress of holding a babies life in his hands while major surgery was performed, the long hours, the cold weather and no money helped him remember all the good things of Thailand. He was paid a lot of money for this work, but Switzerland has some of the highest taxes in the world. At the end of the year, there was no money.
In 1996 through 1999 he lived in Bangkok. He studied at the university and was qualified and received a diploma and license to practice medicine. He accepted a position as an assistant to the medical director of a Bangkok hospital. Dr. Phillippe was the medical director. Dr. Phillippe is the doctor for the queen of Thailand and Dr. Olivier was chosen to be his assistant.
Sometime in 1999, Dr. Olivier decided to practice general medicine in Pattaya. He is now married to a beautiful Thai lady and lives happily. He is warm and can see the sun. His office is open Monday through Friday 09.00am until 06.00pm and on Saturday 09.00am until 1.00pm and closed on Sunday. He is located in South Pattaya by the Day-Night Hotel. There is plenty of parking too.
He speaks English, German, French and Thai. Tourists and expats travel from all over Thailand to get medical help from Dr. Olivier because he speaks their language. It is a great relief to find a doctor who speaks your language when you are in a foreigner country. The doctor foreigner experiences great satisfaction being able to treat people and give them relief and reassurance.
